I'm excited to figure out what I'm going to cast on for tomorrow! I don't know if I'll make myself one of these bracelets cause I LOVE THEM or if I'll keep plugging away on my knitting goals!

My Day of Knitting.

Well, I finally blocked that cowl, I'm not going to give it to anyone but I really liked making it and learning to do the lace. I'm sure I will attempt the pattern again but with a thinner less, uhm, fuzzy yarn that will show the design better. :)

Then I did the first toy crown for the little boy, which turned out great!!! I loved making it! It was so fun and simple and just one of the most enjoyable projects I've done. I could've gotten both of them done today but I messed up on the first one by not making the bottom part wide enough cause I forgot to repeat it like I was supposed to. I'd actually repeat it a few more times next time because I don't think that even the amount the pattern said was enough. I would've had my son wear it in the picture but he was a bit grouchy and ripped it off right away.  Successful day of knitting in my opinion!

Knitted Lace Cowl Issues

Have a major issue with the cowl I'm knitting (ran out of yarn that I can't find anymore) so I may just rip it all out and make something small with it or I'll block it and see what it'd look like and just have it be a little rectangle of my first time doing lace. 

I don't know but I think I've found a suitable substitute as a gift that they'll probably like anyway. We'll see. I just need a few things before I can do it tho.

I found this lovely pattern for a beaded lace bracelet!  That I think they'd actually like and even wear more so maybe it's for the best. I need to get the beads for this and for another bracelet I'm making. Now that I'm thinking of it, you know how little kids kind of like to match their parents or their siblings? Well, I'm going to make the mom this lace bracelet and the oldest daughter a honeycomb bracelet, do you think the 4yr old would enjoy a small bracelet as well? That way they can be like the "big girls" and have a pretty bracelet of her own?

I guess that how I think regarding little kids cause you know they can get mad if someone has something they like and want... I'll still make the little crowns.

I think that's what I'll do and I'll just save the cowl as a memento possibly, I won't worry about it right now I have it off needles and onto life yarn or whatever.

CHANGED PLANS OFFICIALLY:
1 lace beaded bracelet in purple for the momma
1 honeycomb beaded bracelet in bright blue? for the oldest daughter
1 honeycomb beaded bracelet in orange for the youngest daughter
1 toy crown (possibly with "crown jewels") for the youngest daughter
1 toy crown in blue for the son

It seems I always have some sort of issue when knitting but I'm glad I can move past it and either correct it or do something else that is just as great.

Finally Finished My Mittens

Yarn: Sugar N Cream- Hot Blue

Needles: Circulars size 3.5mm ?

Used the same pattern as I did on Jon's & Shelley's. I did do embroidery/double stitching for the first time.

I had quite a few issues with the thumb on the mitten on the right (the one I just finished). Don't know if it's just because I didn't have as many stitches as what I did on the other thumbs or what but it's alright. :) I don't know this thing was just a hot mess to be honest but since they're for me, I'm pleased with them & will wear them proudly.

Never thought that would happen.

I have 3 knitting projects on the needles at the moment (which surprises me) but considering I usually get bored with something then stop doing it at all, each item is different so if I'm tired, I can do one of them, if I'm tired of doing the complicated one, I'll do the annoying but easy one, and when I get tired of fighting with the annoying one, I'll go to the easiest one. 
It's a whole circle and I like having different options to knit. On the needles are 2 gifts (cowl & lace knit) that I hope both recipients enjoy and the other is finally getting MY second mitten done! I got it close to halfway done after I just started it today so I think that's doing pretty good! :)

The next few days I'd like to finish my mitten and get to the stopping point for the cowl to get another skein of different yarn so it'll be green, cream, green color scheme.

Then I need to figure out THIS TOY CROWN PATTERN because it's confusing me and get MAYBE 2 of those knit. I haven't decided yet. Then I need to decide which type of bracelet I can knit for an almost teenager.
And get the lace done as well because all of those 4 gifts are going to the same family that we are stuffing our faces with next weekend!

So I hope I can get everything figured out and made well and properly!

My Super Simple Cowl

Started: 12/29/12

Finished 1/4/13

Yarn: Lion Brand, wool ease- blue heather? IDK IT'S BLUE.

Size: 5ft long by 4" wide

Needles: size 19 needles with a 29" cord.

I can wrap around my neck  about 6-7 times.

I cast on 370 stitches and knitted around close to 10 times then bound off.

5 star rating.
